hi this is part one of six of a peice i did for school i am working on somthing big and i dont want you waiting so i am putting up some of my old work i hope you enjoy but i promise whats to come is worth it

Dear family,

I felt as if my journey over sea would never end. I have just got over a mild case of cholera only it did not feel mild. I felt like I would die on the ship but I lived through it .it was a bumpy ride as we went through cape. The waves were 22 feet in the air and the winds froze my soul. To make it even worse food would not stay down and it felt like I ate nothing in years. I lost most of my luggage on board the ship when I was ill .The best thing that happened to me on that ship was looking out seeing cargo and passengers leave the ships when ported at San Francisco .Finally this treacherous journey was over and I can get a crack at finding what everyone’s talking about gold .One of the first things I did in San Francisco was bought my mining tools and work clothes. I did this because I was aware that prices would get more expensive along the way .People who worked in the general stores close to the mines took advantage of the miners raising the prices to unreasonable amounts. When I left San Francisco’s  general store I discovered a gold nugget that someone has dropped . This was a good sign and it  was proof there is gold and im not dumb cause the rumors of gold here are true and soon will be rich .I am not coming home until I’m successful . That same day I heard  a miner talk to a bartender with his tragic story mining in the wrong place at the wrong time .I thought that it would be easy to find gold I mean  I just found a small piece between the pavements but its not. I have no skills in mining except for the knowledge I’ve just received .If I want to be successful I will need a plan B I have not decided yet but I want to open a business. So far my options are to open a restaurant or perhaps a theater. The food in this town is not great and I think I’d be doing Sacramento a favor .The theater however would be something fun to do in this boring town. Your opinion?

Love,
