Dear family,

So in order to have a restaurant or theater materials are also needed. Due to the disgusting food I decided on opening a restaurant .I went to the nearest supply store in Sacramento and the cooking equipment was too expensive. I missed my opportunity to go to the mine so I went to San Francisco hoping the prices were cheaper .When I went back to San Francisco I heard more about going mining and losing money .I was feeling more confident having a plan B .They were but not by a lot .It was certainly not enough to open my restaurant it was enough to buy the cooking materials with money to spare .When I left the general store I found another gold nugget. I went back to Sacramento. A Tennessean next to me at the claim says that he is my escaped slave. Me and my buddies devised a plan to help him escape .It was crazy but we gained more knowledge about the mines. Finally ready to open my restaurant to only learn I was so caught up in everything else that I made the wrong purchase. I bought work clothes instead of  cooking materials .I t probably had something to do with me learning about the California state legislature introducing a tax of 20 dollars a month against any foreign born miners. With the need of money fast I would need to go to one of the mines. I will probably be there a while but I need the luck to open my restaurant before its too late. Please write back.
